Exploring outside and hunting for creatures
Amelia has always loved being outdoors, no matter what the weather is doing. A lot of the time we go to places that have trees or animals (probably more for my benefit than hers...) and she shows such gorgeous delight for all the things we find. Since she started talking, some of her earliest and favourite words were animals, animal sounds, and creepy crawlies. There have been so many great places to visit around here to find birds to look at (check out Lackford especially, and West Stow), animals to feed or pet (Baylham, Nowton Farm, Hollowtrees), bugs to find (anywhere! but especially Thetford Forest, Nowton Park and of course in the garden!) and trees to explore, hug and clamber on (Ickworth is probably our favourite for tree variety and selection of tree stumps to play with). I hope she will continue to love the outdoors as she does now, but for now, I marvel at her inquisitive nature, and the excitement that can be had at discovering a woodlouse...
